In Ennis Mental Health Association, we aim to improve public understanding of mental health issues. Great care has been taken in preparing the material contained in this section, so that it contains the most up to date information and resources, in an accessible form.
Young people and young adults travel through a period of great developmental change, with many new experiences, ideas, opportunities and challenges. This can be an exhilarating time, but for some, it can be a period of uncertainty and anxiety.
Seeking and accepting support is a sign of courage and strength, and here in County Clare, we are very fortunate to have many supportive agencies to which we can turn.
This section is based on our “Piece of Mind“ booklet, which was designed to give some introductory information on mental health, and to offer encouragement and hope. We have included web site links, email addresses and phone numbers for people who need additional information or help.
Information can be an important step towards recovery, regaining confidence and well-being. It is important to share concerns, accept support which will help to relieve stress and reduce a sense of isolation.
The “Piece of Mind“ booklet was completed in collaboration with North Clare Mental Health Association, West Clare Mental Health Association and Shannon Mental Health Association.
